Update/Prayer request

Hey all! I (Abi) thought I'd give Hannah a break tonight and give you all an update on what's been going on lately! Don't worry, Hannah will be back and providing the "commentary" to her posts again very soon...I promise! :) Sorry it's, once again, been a while since we've posted any pics or updates. I've posted several pics from Christmas and New Year's (below) for you all to look at and hopefully enjoy.

Things for Will, Hannah, and I are going well, but have also been pretty busy and a bit overwhelming lately. As many of you may already know, Hannah (now 17 months old) has yet to crawl or walk. For a long time, we thought (and were also told by doctors, etc) that it would happen...in time...and she was probably just "not motivated" to move yet! Well, (and the reason I type this post) is to just get you up to speed and ask for you prayers for our little girl!

To try to be as brief as possible, due to the concern about her movement, it was advised that we have Hannah start seeing a physical therapist. She has been seeing a great PT for about 2 months now, and we have seen very little progress. To add to that, right around that same time (that she started PT), Hannah started having incidents of her eyes rolling back in her head. This would happen very sporadically and you never knew when (or why) it was going to happen. At this point, doctors are concerned that these could be some type of "seizures" occurring.

So, as of just this past week now, Hannah has been through quite a whirlwind. She has been seeing a PT twice a week, seeing her pediatrician for numerous things (many sicknesses she's come down with, as well as for concern about her development, the eye rolling, etc), and now (just this week) we took her in to see a specialist (a developmental pediatrician) in Kansas City. Even though it was a bit scary not knowing what he'd say, we were so thankful to get in to this doctor so quickly. Supposedly he is in "high demand" and we initially got a first available appointment...for June! Thankfully, they put us at the top of his cancellation list and we were able to get in at the last minute on Thursday! What a blessing! At this point, we don't really know for sure what is wrong...if anything. The developmental pediatrician has some possible thoughts and ideas, but doesn't want to commit to anything until many tests are run. He ordered many blood tests to be done, as well as some x-rays, and also an MRI and EEG on Hannah's brain/brain activity. We completed all the blood work (which was quite a traumatic experience for Hannah...and her parents!) just this past Thursday, and have the EEG and MRI scheduled in one week.

We'd just ask for your prayers for Hannah. Please pray for her as she has to go through some more tests yet, as well as more physical therapy...which she it not a big fan of! We know that God is in control and has been and will continue to hold Hannah close through this whole process. We will continue to update you all through her blog as we find out more! Thanks for all your love and prayers!
